Castella Loutro is more than just a place to stay – it’s a story of craftsmanship and passion. What began as a humble seaside cantina with some sunbeds, evolved into a private beach with a bistro, and ultimately into the exclusive boutique retreat it is today.

At the top of Sfakia, in the picturesque mountain village of Anopoli, our journey began in 2017 with a vision to create something truly special. As a family with a deep love for our homeland, we set out to transform a rugged, rocky shoreline into a serene and inviting beachfront down in the beautiful Village of Loutro. What was once inaccessible, soon blossomed into a beautiful seaside nook, decorated with vibrant flowers and sunbeds, offering visitors a place to relax and enjoy the natural beauty of Loutro, accompanied by intimate bistro, up on the hill overlooking the stunning view of Loutro bay. With just 14 tables, our aim was to offer an exclusive yet welcoming dining experience, where guests could enjoy Mediterranean flavors while they relax and admire the views. In 2023, we expanded our vision further by introducing a collection of elegant accommodations, designed to provide a refined and unforgettable stay. Our exclusive selection embraces the natural elements, with rooms constructed from the very rocks of the hill they rest upon including three suites and two deluxe double rooms, each thoughtfully crafted to blend comfort, sophistication, and privacy, which is our priority. What began as a dream, has now become a destination where guests can experience the beauty, warmth, and hospitality that define our way of life.
